Collection: JUN KILN 鈞窯

Jun wares are characterized by their thick bodies and intense, but unpredictable, colored designs. They were covered with an opalescent glaze that appears blue to the eye, and then a copper pigment was blown or brushed onto the pot. Therefore, the red color of Jun kiln is also called copper red glaze(铜红釉). It developed a dynamic surface pattern. It was nearly impossible to make two identical Jun wares, as their appearance derived from the vagaries of the kiln. It is the representative of kiln transformation technology(Accidental couloring 窯変).
